WHAT ARE HYALURONIC ACID FILLERS?

Unlike Botox, which relaxes the muscles responsible for forming wrinkles, Hyaluronic Acid Fillers are injectable gels that diminish the appearance of wrinkles, and folds on the face.

Hyaluronic Acid Fillers are used to restore volume to areas where bone, fat, and muscle are diminished. Some common areas we treat using filler include: the cheeks, under eyes, brow, temples, nasolabial folds, lips, chin jawline, and hands.

Common fillers used to achieve these results are the Juvederm Collection, the Restylane Collection, and SkinVive. Each filler has a unique molecular structure making certain fillers ideal for specific areas of the face. Our providers will discuss which option is best for you.

WHAT WE DO

Our philosophy at Skin Bio is tailored towards providing a subtle, natural look for our patients using Hyaluronic Acid Fillers.

During your Hyaluronic Acid Filler consultation, our Medical Practitioner will provide a thorough history and physical examination assessing your facial anatomy (skin, muscle, bone) both at rest and in animation. We will tailor an individual treatment plan based on your needs and goals.
During your procedure, our Medical Practitioner will cleanse the skin and apply a topical anesthesia numbing cream for comfort. Next, our Medical Practitioner will inject small amounts of Hyaluronic Acid Filler into different areas of the face. The number of syringes needed will vary from person to person, and the procedure takes approximately 30-60 minutes.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Downtime is different for every patient, and depends on which Hyaluronic Acid Filler is used. While the filler is being applied, you may experience mild discomfort or a stinging sensation. After the procedure, you can experience injection-site redness, swelling, tenderness. This is common, and should last a few hours to a few days. Immediately after your filler treatment, we recommend icing your face and relaxing to minimize swelling or bruising. Do not massage the treatment area; wait until next day to exercise.

Results can be seen immediately after treatment. Please allow 2 weeks for swelling or bruising to subside. The duration of fillers depends on the type of filler used, and where it is injected. Depending on the filler used, results can last anywhere from 6-24 months.

I saw Cristina for fillers and let me tell you, her eye for detail and symmetry is impeccable. 10 out of 10 amazing when it comes to results. Doesn't over do it, goes over everything with you before hand, and listens to all your concerns. She is also so friendly and incredibly knowledgeable.


I also did a diamond facial by Melanie and that is simply the best facial I have had in quite some time. She spent a good amount of time perfecting my face and my pores but also, she is so very lovely.

I have had TWO great experiences at Skin Bio - my first was with Cristina for Botox and filler and she did a wonderful job. My migraines have drastically decreased and the work she did looks very natural. It was exactly what I wanted and by far the best work I've ever had done on my face. The second amazing experience I had was with Melanie - she did an acne facial which I haven't had in years but I definitely needed after experiencing some hormonal acne breakouts. She was clearly very experienced with this. She did an amazing job extracting everything from my skin and was also fun to talk to and very personable.
