WHAT WE DO

Our Physician Dr. Korosh Borhani will sit down and discuss your medical history, including a thorough intake of all acute or chronic illnesses, allergies, medications, diet, exercise, drug or alcohol use, psychosocial, and lifestyle habits. The Physician will perform a physical exam, including taking your vitals and a 10 point review of systems.

Based on your comprehensive history and physical, the Physician can order a customized blood panel to measure individualized biomarkers from the following diagnostic lab tests: Baseline, Food & Allergy, Micronutrient, Gut Health, Hormone, Inflammation, Heavy Metals, and/or Vitamin D.

BIOMARKER LAB TESTS

  • Get to know your health! The Baseline test is the launching pad to your health optimization experience.

The Baseline test measures metabolic, inflammatory, and hormonal biomarkers to provide broad insight into your current state of health. It includes a CBC, Lipid Panel, Testosterone, Vit D, HsCRP, Vit B12, HbA1C, and a comprehensive metabolic panel to provide an essential overview of your health.

  • Optimize your dietary program and avoid foods that may harm you.

Have you been trying to lose weight, but can't? Are you feeling fatigued, or have chronic aches and pains? You may have a food sensitivity that you are unaware of! Chronic inflammation caused by food sensitivities may be detrimental to your health.

The Food Sensitivity panel measures your IgA and IgG immune response to a wide variety of different foods and additives to determine how your body is responding to each food. Common symptoms for food sensitivities include: skin issues and rashes, inflammation, bloating, upset stomach, headaches, and more. These results can be used to optimize your dietary program based on your gut health.

  • The Allergy panel examines your body's IgE immune response to a variety of common allergens which may cause symptoms such as: sneezing, congestion, coughing, runny nose, itchy eyes, sinus pressure, headache, or skin rashes. The results will identify what allergens are causing your symptoms, so you can avoid triggers and treat your allergies.

  • This is your road map to Bio Individual Dietary Supplementation.

This panel evaluates overall nutritional status to determine personalized needs for antioxidants, B-vitamins, minerals, essential fatty acids, amino acids, and other select nutrients. It identifies which nutrients you need, and which ones you don't! Some common conditions associated with micronutrient deficiency include anxiety, depression, poor sleep, headaches, and fatigue.

You can use the results of your micronutrient testing to modify your diet and supplementation plan. This test will allow our Physician to provide targeted treatment for the particular needs of each patient individually, and aid in optimizing your nutritional health.

  • Enhance your gut health.

This test analyzes your gut microbiome to identify the levels of good and bad bacteria present that can affect your gastrointestinal health. Some common symptoms associated with poor gut health include indigestion, abdominal pain, diarrhea, constipation, and weight gain.

This test also measures Zonulin. Zonulin is a protein that modulates intestinal permeability, and high levels of Zonulin can suggest increased intestinal permeability, or "Leaky Gut". Do you have bloating, abdominal cramping, or fatigue throughout your day? This test may be the right one for you.

Our Physician can use the results of your gut health testing to take steps to balance the flora in your gut and ensure what you eat gets maximum absorption.

  • Track your overall hormonal health to correct hormonal imbalance.

What are hormones? Hormones are chemicals that deliver messages throughout your body. Hormones are produced by your endocrine system, a collection of glands in your body including the: pancreas, thyroid, adrenal glands, ovaries, testicles, and pituitaries. There is a very delicate balance of hormones in the body and any imbalance can affect your health and wellness. Studies show that men and women can start displaying a decline in testosterone levels at the age of 35. In men, this condition is called andropause.

This panel measures the level of hormones produced by your endocrine system. Some common symptoms associated with hormonal imbalances include: decreased sex drive, loss of concentration, weight gain, hair loss, infertility, erectile dysfunction, muscle weakness, mood changes, dificulty sleeping, and hot flashes.

Our Physician will take a customized approach and use the results of your hormone testing to correct any hormonal imbalances through changes in your diet, supplements, lifestyle, or hormone therapy. If your hormonal imbalance is causing hair loss, we may recommend PRP Hair Restoration.

  • Prevent chronic inflammation by identifying your inflammatory biomarkers.

The Inflammation Test identifies biomarkers of chronic inflammation so you can prevent diseases by adjusting your diet and lifestyle. This test goes hand in hand with our Gut Health testing. Chronic inflammation is associated with diseases such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes, Alzheimer's, and autoimmune conditions.

Inflammation can be beneficial in the short term while fighting off a cold or repairing injury, but chronic inflammation in the body is detrimental. Controlling your inflammation markers is critical to prevent disease and optimize your health. Our Physician will use the results of your test to identify chronic inflammation and adjust your diet and lifestyle to prevent diseases.

  • Detect heavy metals in your blood and find ways to detoxify.

The Heavy Metals Test screens for specific heavy metal toxins such as lead, mercury, and cadmium- metallic toxins that affect your overall health. You can encounter these toxins on a daily basis and not even know about it. When toxins accumulate it can lead to inflammation, cardiovascular disease, hormone imbalances, and Alzheimer's disease.

The results identify whether toxins have built up in your body so that you know when to change your diet, cleanse your body, or avoid certain environmental factors. Our Physician will tailor a personalized detox plan for you.

  • Defend against the most common vitamin deficiency.

This test identifies whether you have a deficiency of this essential vitamin so you can know when to seek supplementation. Vitamin D deficiency is the most common vitamin deficiency in North America and it is important for calcium balance, normal bone development, lung function, and cardiovascular health. Vitamin D may also protect against osteoporosis, hypertension, cancer, and other diseases. Symptoms of this deficiency are fatigue, depression, bone pain, back pain, and weakness. Levels can fluctuate and depend on a number of lifestyle factors so testing of this essential vitamin is important for your wellness.

  • After completing your blood draw, you will return to see our Physician for your Lab Analysis. During your Medical Follow Up, our Physician will sit down and talk with you about your results. You will receive documentation of your test results along with a description and treatment recommendations to improve your health.

Many health issues can be addressed readily and successfully with our custom IV therapy and vitamin treatments, and some require a more extensive medical management program, available with our Physician.

Your unique health optimization plan might include the following: Bio Individual Dietary Supplements, Bio Individual Hormone Optimization, and diet or lifestyle modifications. Other target therapies may include: PRP hair restoration, PRP joint injections, customized IV drips, vitamin shots, and/or acne management.
